Speaking Task (a talkative person)

There are people who like to share things with others.

And there are people who enjoy gossiping about others behind their backs.

But, some people are a combination of both.

They can’t stay silent for a second. 

People look down upon them as chatter boxes.

But, I think in a different way.

In this 21st Century, we are becoming addicted to technology in such a way that we are drifting apart from our friends and relatives.

We express our emotions with short text messages. And emojis are replacing text messages in such a rapid manner that soon we will be communicating with emojis only.

This makes our communication superficial.

On the other hand, when we talk with someone, we do it in our natural way without using any artificial means.

Sometimes we are annoyed if the other person is constantly blabbering on about unnecessary things.

It is advisable to stay away from such blabbermouths.

But, there is one person whose loquacious personality is an endearing trait in her.

She is my cousin Julie. Julie is 14 years old. But, she is a precocious child who loves to read a lot.

As a voracious reader, she is like a living encyclopedia. Whenever I go to her house, she takes me to her room and starts talking about a book she is currently reading.

She would talk for a long time. And during this time, I can’t interject if I don’t agree with something she said.

She is also a huge fan of Barbie dolls. Recently, the movie Barbie was released. And when I went to her house, she started talking about her Barbie dolls and the movie.

I was not interested in the topic, but she was looking very animated while explaining the story of the movie to me.

I must confess that hearing a story of a movie on dolls is not an edifying experience at all.

But, it is nonetheless an entertaining experience.

My sister is a very innocent soul. And we rarely encounter such people in our daily life.

Therefore, we need to consider them a godsend whenever we get a chance to have a brief chat with them.

We should consider ourselves lucky if this brief conversation turns into a long monologue about Barbie dolls.
