Sample Answer
I am a connoisseur of tasty food, and I never miss an opportunity to treat myself to some delicious food.
I have inherited this fondness for tasty , especially spicy, food from my father.
My father is known among his friend as an epicure. And he himself can cook like an excellent chef.
But, I believe that my mom is a cook par excellence. And she has raised cooking to an art form.
Due to this, every now and then I get to eat some new dishes that are combination of tasty ingredients.
Sometimes I wonder ‘Where does she learn these great recipes from?’ or ‘Who teaches her all these?”
Perhaps she learns it from the internet, or perhaps she herself invents new recipes.
Although she tries new recipes, there are some set rules that she follows, and therefore, all the dishes she makes have a peculiar taste. I could easily identify that a particular dish is made by my mom.
Although the food cooked at home is the most hygienic and healthy food, we don’t get to eat that every time. Especially when we are travelling.
I vividly remember that last year during Christmas vacation, we college friends went to Goa.
Goa is a beautiful place that boasts a lovely coastline. And Goa has lots of small restaurants, dotted across its beaches, that offer excellent Chinese food.
After a very exciting day at the beach, enjoying watersports and a live concert, we were all ravenously hungry.
At that time, we searched for a nearest restaurant, and we got to know about a restaurant named ‘Chinese Dragon’.
The name seemed a bit weird, but we could see the menu online, and we read lots of positive reviews of that place.
We decided to give it a try, and when we finally reached there, we felt assured that the food would be hygienic and tasty.
We ordered noodles and veg Manchurian.
My friend John asked me to try a special dish called ‘Rice-Spice’. The name seemed a bit familiar as well as strange.
When that dish was served, I was surprised by its appetizing aroma.
This was a simple dish made of rice, but the spices that were used were completely different than the ones we use to make a rice dish.
I finished it within no time, and ordered it again.
Even after we came to our hotel, I could still not forget the rich aroma of that wonderful dish.
I had never tasted this type of rice dish before, and I called my mom to share my experience with her.
When I came back, she also treated me to a spicy rice dish.
It was also an experience worth remembering, but, unfortunately my mom could not repeat the magic that happened at that Chinese restaurant in Goa.
